Advertorial: Precision Arts Challenge

Our team at Inside Dance had the privilege of sitting down with three amazing friends who’ve elevated the dance competition industry in epic ways! Get to know Kimber Larson, Samantha McCreery and Jennifer Rosenburg, the owners and partners of Precision Arts Challenge (PAC) and hear about what’s new in 2026 at the Navy Pier in Chicago, IL! Inside Dance can’t wait to be on location reporting live from the red carpet this summer.

Share a brief history of how you all met and the early days of Precision Arts Challenge!

KL: We originally all met through my dance studio! My studio is celebrating 25 years and inside those walls, Samantha was a former student of mine, and Jennifer has been a lead instructor for years! I definitely found my tribe in these two.

In regards to the creation of Precision Arts Challenge, we hosted our first competition in 2012. Prior to that, during National Dance Week, we hosted a world record attempt for the longest kickline. It took place at Brookfield Zoo in the Chicago suburbs. It was a fun and exciting event that built awareness and also raised us enough money to buy our first set of sound equipment. Next thing you know, it’s 2012 and we’re launching Precision Arts Challenge in Toledo, OH! From there, PAC Collective was formed which includes Precision Arts Challenge, Luxxe, Moxie and Kudo.

We’ve grown from one tour in 2012 to seven and eight tours per weekend across four brands in 2026. It’s been a great ride!

CEO ‘Visionary’

Samantha McCreery
CFO ‘Integrator’

Jennifer Rosenburg
COO ‘Operations’

Now that you’re heading into your 14th season in the dance competition industry, tell us about the dynamic leadership across you three.

SM: We are so lucky to have one another. Kimber is truly the ‘Visionary’ of the group. I’ve always said that she sets our North Star. She sees the vision and brings it all to life. All of the amazing opportunities within Precision Arts have come from Kimber’s incredible ideas. “Lights & Sirens” is a perfect example of that. This competitive opportunity has now branched out across all of our brands. It’s truly a staple of PAC!

I’m personally more of the ‘Integrator.’ I follow Kimber’s lead and help make it happen on the administrative level. I’m inspired by her daily!

Jennifer is our ‘Operations’ expert. She handles all of the logistics and is so incredibly perfect in this role! She also sits on several boards, including The Association of Dance Competitions & Conventions (ADCC). She’s been one of the longest standing Executive Board Members and is imperative to the growth of the organization. She makes us proud and her voice is incredibly valuable across the entire industry!

Let’s chat about the present! You’ve just wrapped your 13th season in 2025. What are some of your favorite highlights?

SM: I think a highlight that will never get old to me is being present at an event and watching a dancer get their first PAC Attack Call Back, which is where the Lights & Sirens go off on stage (literally)! Just the surprise, the proud display of joy, and how amazing they feel with everyone cheering them on… it takes your breath away. Then there’s always a parent, dance teacher, or best friend in the backstage wings there to congratulate them when they come running off. I get goosebumps every time, and I don’t know if anything could top that!

KL: It’s funny. I was just going to say the exact same thing. There is something just really special about that process at our competitions. It keeps everybody on their toes, and it’s exciting.

Tell us more about the “Lights & Sirens” moment!

KL: We have two types of Lights & Sirens. The first one is our PAC Attack Challenge. This is for group routines and it’s recognizing those high excitement group routines. This is not score-based, it is opinion-based. It’s really about the kids that are going out there and just having a great time. It’s all about ENTERTAINMENT. Then the other opportunity is, the PAC Attack Call Back, which is focused on the captivating soloists. Something to know right from the top is that these extra moments at our events are FREE. There is no additional charge to participate.

One of the coined phrases for this “moment” at our events is – Lights & Sirens: a kids’ dance competition where you learn as a competitor, find inspiration as a dancer, and are applauded as an artist.

It’s our moment to celebrate the stand out performances of the event weekend. We GO BIG for these dancers and they show up for us and the audience! Confetti, extreme lighting, sound effects, the whole big bang! It’s absolutely a staple at all PAC brands and events.

Your events are known across the industry at providing unique opportunities for dancers. Can you expand upon those opportunities?!

SM: The brands are set up so that the rules are all the same, the experience is the same, it’s just a different ‘look’ across each of our exclusive PAC brands. The benefit of that, and for our studio owners, is that it’s less of a learning curve for parents. The scoring is actually measurable from brand to brand. No one wants to be dealing with “the wild west” out there, right?! We like to keep all of the brands consistent. This is something people have come to love about Precision Arts. We’re just giving them more event options, different venue options within the same city or demographic. A few more different ways to engage in the overall PAC experience!

At the top of this feature we teased our readers about what’s debuting this summer at the Navy Pier in downtown Chicago. The ULTIMATE PAC Attack Challenge is just six months away! What experience can your customers look forward to at this new event?!

SM: It’s crazy to believe it’s almost that time! This summer, June 22-27, 2026 we’ll be debuting a new brand and event titled The ULTIMATE PAC Attack Challenge. We’ve put so much planning and attention to detail on this upcoming summer and we can’t wait to bring it to life!

The ULTIMATE is bascially our end of season championship, like Finals. The location is at the infamous Navy Pier in downtown Chicago. It’s three events in one. So, every studio will start with championship rounds, convention classes, and then from there—progress to The ULTIMATE PAC Attack throughout the event week.

A few unique features that brought us to creating this event is that everything will be ELEVATED and INCLUSIVE onsight. I think that’s something, again, with creating memories, that any dancer can come and achieve. Where other high end events may feel exclusive or intimidating, we want to make sure that everyone feels welcome at The ULTIMATE PAC Attack Challenge.

We’ll end the event in a really high-end, VIP styled black-tie gala, red carpet entrance with interviews by you all at Inside Dance! We’re just really excited to turn the spotlight on our dancers, teachers and studio owners, and show them off all week long leading up to our Final Dance Awards.

KL: This is going to be an unforgettable week and event, no doubt! Our plan is to rotate The ULTIMATE every other year so that it maintains that prestigious energy and vibe. One of our core values as a company is to provide an opportunity for dancers and attendees to make memories while at our dance competitions. It all goes by so fast when you’re competing and traveling year after year. This end of season championship will be something for everyone. Walking away with memories to last a lifetime, all while eliminating the exhaustion that some national championship weeks can bring. Our attendees will have the capability to bring back that inspiration you feel when trying a new experience. We can’t wait for you all to see this inaugural event come to life, and then join us again in 2028!

What is a PAC company motto that drives your mission year after year?!

A quote that has been with us from the beginning and pushes us to continually ‘up our game!’

“Our company mission is to create exciting memories in dance competitions.”
